La trebbiatura vi durer\u00e0 fino alla vendemmia, e la vendemmia vi durer\u00e0 fino alla sementa; mangerete a saziet\u00e0 il vostro pane, e abiterete in sicurt\u00e0 il vostro paese. Io far\u00f2 che la pace regni nel paese; voi vi coricherete, e non ci sar\u00e0 chi vi spaventi; far\u00f2 sparire dal paese le bestie nocive, e la spada non passer\u00e0 per il vostro paese (<em>Vaykr\u00e0<\/em>, 26: 3-6).<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-family: inherit;\">Eliyahu Benamozegh <\/strong><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">(Livorno, 1823-1900) commenta:<\/span><em style=\"font-family: inherit;\"> \u201cmangerete a saziet\u00e0 il vostro pane<\/em><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">: il vostro pane sar\u00e0 cos\u00ec buono che lo mangerete anche se sarete gi\u00e0 sazi\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dopo tutte queste promesse di benedizioni, la Tor\u00e0 avverte il popolo d\u2019Israele che se non osserveranno le <em>mitzv\u00f2t<\/em> saranno soggetti a tutta una serie di disgrazie e andranno in esilio. E, quanto a voi, io vi disperder\u00f2 fra le nazioni, e vi dar\u00f2 dietro a spada tratta; il vostro paese sar\u00e0 desolato, e le vostre citt\u00e0 saranno deserte.\u00a0 Allora la terra si godr\u00e0 i suoi sabati per tutto il tempo che rimarr\u00e0 desolata e che voi sarete nel paese dei vostri nemici; allora la terra si riposer\u00e0 e si godr\u00e0 i suoi sabati. Joseph Beer Soloveitchik <\/strong>(Belarus, 1903-1993, Boston) in <em>Mesoras Harav <\/em>(p. 229) commenta che la Terra d\u2019Israele non pu\u00f2 essere costruita da un popolo qualunque.
